The Frost Studio Jazz Band revisits compositions and arrangements by Thad Jones, Bob Brookmeyer, and Jim McNeely, the most prolific writers for the superb Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, the band that performs every Monday night at the Village Vanguard. Student conductors from the Frost Jazz Rehearsal Techniques class participate in this evening’s program.
